In the western end of the village, in a beautiful natural environment, lies the small beach of Gyenesi Lidóstrand, which is a favourite place for families with small children.
In 2019, the beach participated for the first time in the Blue Wave Flag beach rating, where it achieved a 4-star rating as a "newcomer". In 2020, thanks to the improvements of recent years, it has earned the highest 5-star rating.
A favourite with families with young children, the beach's charm lies in its tranquillity and beautiful natural surroundings. While your child plays in the shady sandpit and in the shallow water along the shore, you can relax and enjoy your days off.
Older children can kick around on the sandy beach football pitch or take advantage of the newly constructed beach volleyball court, or rent a water bike. A large sandpit, playground, memory and torpedo games will tempt playful children.
A beach wheelchair is available for people with reduced mobility. Ask staff at the ticket office during opening hours.
From 2019, Lido Beach in Gyenes will also be open for playful sports competitions on Saturdays.
And if you get hungry, there's a wide selection of beach buffets to choose from.
